1. Time Gives You Two Choices: Regret or Results
Every action, every choice, or inaction leaves us with either a sense of regret or a result. A year from now, you might wish you had cut off toxic connections, said ‘no’ to distractions, or said ‘yes’ to yourself more often. The future is unpredictable, but regret is certain if we don’t start now.
2. Actions Build Luck, Not Good Fortune
Luck doesn’t magically happen; it’s the outcome of continuous hard work and persistence. By making positive choices and building productive habits, you make your own luck.
3. Consistency + Authenticity: The Key to Great Content
If you’re trying to succeed in content creation, remember this formula: Show up every day, and be true to who you are. Just keep going; consistency is where the magic lies.
4. Show Up Daily to Make Progress
Great success doesn’t come to those with just raw talent; it comes to those who show up every day. You don’t need to be a pro—just start, and consistency will transform you.
5. Don’t Let Ego Block Your Growth
The biggest barrier to learning and improvement is often our ego. Stay humble, and you’ll be open to learning from everything and everyone around you.
6. Don’t Live for Others’ Opinions
When you worry too much about what others think, you often end up living their version of life, not your own. Decide for yourself what matters to you.
7. Build Strong Relationships with Time, Money, and Yourself
Our lives revolve around three important relationships: time, money, and ourselves. Invest in building a healthy connection with each.
8. Success Isn’t Always the Answer
As Jim Carrey once said, “I wish everyone could get rich and famous and have everything they ever dreamed of, so they’d see that’s not the answer.” This quote reminds us that material success isn’t everything.
9. Curiosity Opens More Doors Than Hard Work Alone
Being curious and asking questions often creates more opportunities than simply working hard. Curiosity makes you explore paths that lead to innovation and growth.
10. Make Your Struggles Meaningful
Don’t avoid struggles; make them meaningful. If you’re going through a tough time, see it as a journey with a purpose, something that adds depth and resilience to your life.
11. Stop Assuming – Just Ask!
Before you assume, try the simple approach: just ask. Communication clears up misunderstandings and helps you understand others better. I also tell to my coworkers don't assume anything just ask. If you don't ask the answer will be always a big fat NO. Be specific about what you need while asking, making it easier for others to help you.
12. Write Without Fear or Expectation
The best writing comes when it’s free from fear or a need to impress others. Write because it’s what you feel—not because of what others might think.
13. Your Time Tells What Matters to You
Three things reveal your priorities:
• First hour of the day: A time for yourself to set the tone.
• Last hour before sleep: A time for family or loved ones.
• Your Calendar: Shows where you allocate the rest of your time.
14. We Understand Ourselves Through Thoughts and Others Through Actions
We often judge ourselves based on our intentions but judge others by their actions. This reminds us to be more empathetic and understanding.
15. Be Mindful of the Company You Keep
The people around you shape your mindset. Whether online or offline, surround yourself with people who inspire growth. That's why there is a saying in Bangla which we all heard from our parents at least once in our lifetime: সঙ্গ দোষে লোহা ভাসে
16. Face Fear by Asking, “What’s the Worst That Can Happen?”
When facing a tough choice, think about the worst possible outcome. If you can handle it, move forward. This perspective takes away the fear.
17. If It’s Not a Priority, You Won’t Finish It
Sometimes, unfinished tasks bother us. If you haven’t completed something, maybe it’s not as important to you as you think. Make sure your goals align with your priorities.
18. Two Choices: The Easy Way or the Right Way
Life presents us with choices, and they’re often between the easy and the right. The right choice may be hard, but it’s the one that builds character.
19. We’re Addicted to Emotions, Not Things
We often think we’re attached to possessions or habits, but it’s the emotions they bring that hold us. Recognize this to understand your true motivations. At first, I didn't get this point. But if you think deeply, yes it's true. We are addicted to emotions. all kinds of emotions.
20. Solve Problems, Don’t Complain
Complaining keeps us stuck in negativity. Instead, look for solutions that empower you and those around you.
21. How You Treat People with Nothing to Offer Shows Your Values
Your real character shines through in how you treat people who have nothing to give you in return. Kindness and respect cost nothing.
22. Trust is Built on Effort, Not Perfection
People don’t trust you because you know it all; they trust you because you’ll put in the work to find answers. Commit to doing your best.
I’m not a book reviewer. I just finished this amazing book, and I wanted to share its insights because I know there are plenty of people who don’t naturally enjoy reading. If they can take away even a few of these points and make their lives a bit better, then that’s a win.
